Vanessa Lawrence, MPH (she/her) is a healthcare professional with over 10 years of industry and 2.5 years of management consulting experience. She worked with WellCare Health Plans and Coventry Health Plans (since acquired by Aetna) on various quality improvement and strategic planning efforts. For many of those years, Vanessa worked tirelessly alongside clinicians and other patient advocates to improve the overall healthcare of elderly and disadvantaged youth insured by government-sponsored health plans. She then transitioned to Deloitte Consulting where she worked with key stakeholders at reputable commercial health plans on large scale operational projects and strategic planning work.
 

After having spent many years working directly for major health plans and consulting others, she realized the need to offer quality healthcare services within the patient’s home. Vanessa founded Balanced Care Home Health Services as a means to allow the elderly and disabled individuals to continue living at home safely, with dignity and respect, rather than forced into alternative living conditions due to their age and health conditions.
 

Vanessa is a proud graduate of Emory University (Master of Public Health – Health Policy & Management) and Spelman College (Bachelor of Arts – Economics); two prestigious institutions that equipped her with the skills to excel in this industry and make a difference in the lives of others.
